Compensation
Using Grade 6 - Tier 1 salary ranges from the Pay Transparency 2026 data:
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:
$80,800 - $107,000
MB & ON:
$73,700 - $101,500
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:
$73,000 - $96,900

The Opportunity
Your Impact Starts Here - Join our growing Earth & Environment team as an Experienced Geophysicist, where you'll apply advanced geophysical methods to guide sustainable design, infrastructure development, and environmental decision-making. You'll tackle complex subsurface challenges, shape meaningful outcomes for clients, and help elevate our geoscience practice across the region.
Your Impact
- Design and lead advanced geophysical survey programs using seismic, electrical, magnetic, electromagnetic, GPR, and gravity methods across land, water, and borehole environments.
- Oversee data acquisition, quality control, inversion, and modelling using industry-leading software, ensuring results that meaningfully support engineering and environmental decisions.
- Interpret complex geophysical datasets to develop subsurface models that guide project planning, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare technical deliverables-reports, figures, models, and presentations-communicating insights clearly to multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Direct field crews, mentor junior geophysicists and technicians, and promote safe and efficient field operations.
- Collaborate with hydrogeology, geotechnical, environmental, and infrastructure teams to integrate geoscience into multi-disciplinary project solutions.
- Contribute to innovation within the practice, including testing new sensors, workflows, and analysis tools.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- A degree in Geophysics, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related discipline; a graduate degree is an asset.
- 5-8+ years of applied geophysical project experience, including leading field programs and interpreting multi-method datasets.
- Proven ability to scope, plan, and deliver geophysical investigations in varied terrain, weather, and remoteness levels.
- Proficiency with industry tools such as ReflexW, SeisImager, RES2D/3D, Oasis montaj, VOXI, or equivalent modelling and inversion platforms.
- Comfortable working outdoors, including remote and rugged sites, with the ability to operate or oversee off-road transport and equipment (UTV/ATV/ARGO/Snowmobile).
- A mindset grounded in scientific curiosity, continuous improvement, and practical problem-solving.
