The Opportunity
Build the Future With Us - As a Junior Mining Engineer, you'll contribute to mining projects that help shape safe, efficient, and sustainable resource development across Canada and beyond. Working with our Mine Engineering & Geology (MEG) team, you'll support studies, designs, modelling, and on-site project execution that directly influence the future of mining operations.
Your Impact
- Contribute to mine design evaluations that help clients optimize extraction methods and long-term planning.
- Support senior engineers in preparing technical studies and reports (PEA, PFS, FS), helping clients make informed investment decisions.
- Apply specialized software such as Deswik and Ventsim to support ventilation design and mine modelling.
- Analyze engineering data to assist in developing practical, safe, and efficient design parameters.
- Participate in design reviews for underground and open-pit mining projects.
- Request and compile equipment pricing to support cost estimates and project planning.
- Provide on-site support through rotating secondments, building field experience while contributing to real-time project delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada to deliver high-value engineering solutions.
- A Mine Engineering degree and 0-3 years of experience building foundational expertise in mining engineering.
- Curiosity, initiative, and analytical thinking that help drive innovation in mine design and planning.
- Experience with Deswik or underground ventilation modelling considered an asset.
- Exposure to mining operations (co-op, internship, or field experience) is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support reporting and collaboration.
- Flexibility to travel and participate in field rotations (including FIFO assignments).

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $80,100 - $107,700
- MB & ON: $73,100 - $102,100
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $76,900 - $102,100
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The wage range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
