Shape the World Around You - As a member of our Process Mine and Infrastructure Design team, you'll help shape the future of mining through sustainable, innovative, and resilient design. From dewatering and ore handling systems to tailings disposal and truck shops, your electrical engineering expertise will drive critical infrastructure projects across Canada and beyond.
Your Impact
- Lead the development of electrical design packages for complex mining infrastructure projects.
- Deliver precise equipment and construction specifications that support safe and efficient operations.
- Direct the creation of design drawings that align with project goals and timelines.
- Support procurement, cost estimating, and execution planning to ensure project success.
- Engage in construction and commissioning activities to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to meet client objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and technical excellence.
- Champion WSP's commitment to safety, sustainability, and innovation in every project.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in engineering consulting, ideally within mining or industrial water treatment environments.
- Deep knowledge of medium voltage equipment including transformers, switchgear, protection, and coordination systems.
- Proficient in ETAP for load flow, short circuit, protection and coordination, and arc flash analysis.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex electrical engineering projects.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and relevant engineering software.
- Active professional membership with PEO or another Canadian provincial association (mandatory).
- Passionate about collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
