This is your chance to contribute directly to the safe, responsible, and sustainable development of mining projects across Canada. As a Junior to Intermediate Geotechnical / Mine Waste Engineer, you will support meaningful work that shapes communities, environments, and the world around us.
Posting locations: Mississauga, Ottawa, Thunder Bay.

Your Impact
  • Conduct geotechnical site investigation fieldwork to support mine development and closure planning.
  • Interpret field and laboratory data to inform engineering recommendations.
  • Perform stability, seepage, and liquefaction analyses for tailings and mine waste facilities.
  • Contribute to designs and operational assessments for tailings storage facilities, waste rock dumps, and water management systems.
  • Support development and execution of mine waste management plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of mine waste systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare or contribute to technical reports, design documentation, and engineering deliverables.
  • Collaborate with geologists, environmental scientists, water resources engineers, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Provide technical input through all project phases, from planning to construction monitoring.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical or mine waste engineering.
  • Knowledge of geotechnical principles, dam safety guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with geotechnical modelling tools (e.g., GeoStudio suite).
  • Eligibility for or registration as a P.Eng.
  • Experience with tailings or hydro dam design considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with environmental permitting and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Master's degree considered an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $73,400 - $97,200
MB & ON: $67,000 - $90,000
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $62,400 - $84,000
