Compensation
BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $122,900 - $162,800
MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $111,000 - $147,400

The Opportunity
Lead with Impact - As a Lead Geotechnical Engineer in our GTA West Group, you'll guide complex engineering projects and help shape the future of geotechnical design across Ontario. You'll lead technical delivery, mentor emerging professionals, and contribute to strategic growth while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions for public and private sector clients.
Your Impact
- Serve as the lead geotechnical engineer for subsurface exploration programs, foundation design, and construction support on major transportation, infrastructure, and property development projects.
- Drive growth and innovation within WSP's Earth & Environment Business Line, ensuring client success and technical excellence.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, securing new work opportunities and expanding WSP's geotechnical portfolio.
- Lead geotechnical engineering projects, including design-build and design-bid-build delivery models.
- Oversee project financials, quality control, and subcontractor management.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, proposals, and cost estimates for medium to large-scale projects.
- Represent WSP at industry conferences and workshops as a technical leader.
- Mentor geotechnical engineering staff and provide guidance on complex technical challenges.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering (Master's or PhD preferred).
- 12+ years of consulting experience in geotechnical engineering, including business development and project leadership.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with PEO.
- Expertise in geotechnical analysis, design, and applicable codes and standards.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience presenting technical topics to clients.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
