In this pivotal role, you'll oversee and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders - including business partners, project sponsors, development and QA teams, vendors, and end users - to ensure seamless project delivery. Outstanding communication skills, the ability to anticipate and address risks proactively, and a dedication to upholding the highest standards of project execution are essential for success. Flexibility in navigating both iterative (Agile/Scrum) and traditional (Waterfall) development environments is vital, enabling you to drive results regardless of methodology. You'll report directly to the Director of Software Development and play a key role in shaping the future of our technology solutions.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Development Technology Lead at the Senior Manager level, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead the development of key business applications, ensuring secure, modern, and well-architected solutions
• Manage product development from concept through production support, overseeing technical design, coding, and issue resolution
• Coordinate Agile teams using Scrum, collaborating closely with Project Coordinators for efficient product delivery
• Provide technical support to Business Analysts in gathering and clarifying business requirements
• Plan sprints, releases, and facilitate daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and demos
• Document and maintain project releases, features, user stories, tasks, bugs, and defects using agile project management tools
• Ensure compliance with PwC Global and PwC Canada guidelines for development, security, and branding
• Work with Product Managers to refine epics, user stories, and backlog for sprint planning
• Manage multiple development teams and identify resource needs as projects evolve
• Identify, report, and resolve project risks, issues, and technical debt
• Design and implement innovative applications and services within the organization
• Conduct code reviews and maintain up-to-date technical documentation and processes
• Coach, inspire, and lead teams to adopt Agile principles and achieve high productivity and cross-functionality
• Collaborate with external vendors, ensuring development processes align with PwC standards and reviewing code quality
• Drive continuous improvement, personal development, and foster strong internal relationships to build your PwC brand
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Hands-on experience leading large-scale software solution implementations
• Experience working in agile teams and with Agile methodologies
• Proficient in service-oriented, event-driven, and microservices architectures
• Expertise in mobile/web architecture stacks, especially Angular and React
• Strong knowledge of databases such as Azure SQL, MS SQL, and MongoDB
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Must-have Skills: Proven expertise in Angular, React.js, ASP.NET MVC and Web API, Entity Framework, Python, FastAPI, Azure SQL, MongoDB, Azure Functions and Logic Apps, Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Kendo UI. Demonstrated experience applying Scrum methodology for agile project delivery.
• Nice-to-have Skills: Familiarity with advanced Azure technologies such as Azure AI Foundry and Azure Databricks.
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD using Azure DevOps and GitHub

The salary range for this position is $137,600 - $187,600. The posted salary rangerepresentsthe expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary isdeterminedby your skills, experience,qualificationsand work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities toparticipatein variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
