What will your typical day look like?
Job Overview:
Deloitte Cloud Services reports to the office of the Global CTO and is responsible for delivering cloud solutions which accelerate the delivery of both revenue-generating and internal applications. Deloitte Cloud Services supports software development efforts and provides best practices which streamline and fully automate the release management pipeline.
You will be responsible for developing scalable, cloud-native microservices and APIs using C#, .NET Core, Dapr, and Kubernetes. You will apply proven design patterns, contribute to solution architecture, and mentor junior developers, ensuring best practices across cloud platforms and database integrations.
Responsibilities:
After hours on-call support occasionally required.

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Responsibilities:
- Lead development of microservices and APIs using C#/.NET Core, Dapr, and Kubernetes.
- Apply software design principles and patterns to ensure maintainable, scalable, and testable code.
- Guide the team in implementing scalable, cloud-native solutions aligned with architectural standards.
- Drive and support integration with MongoDB and relational (SQL) databases.
- Mentor and coach junior team members through code reviews and technical guidance.
- Participate in solution design, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments to achieve project objectives and ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables.
- Utilize CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps and GitHub to create and maintain pipelines for automated builds and releases

Primary Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments.
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, including significant experience in backend development using C#/.NET or comparable platforms.
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience on a major cloud platform.
- Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable APIs (REST and/or gRPC), including data modeling, validation, and lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment workflows across development, test, and production environments.
- Practical experience with microservices-based architectures, including service-to-service communication, configuration, and resiliency patterns; experience with Dapr is an asset.
- Working knowledge of containerized workloads and orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Agile Scrum methodology and experience working on a Scrum team.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, performance considerations, and data access patterns
- Understanding of operational best practices for high-availability, production systems, including monitoring, logging, incident response, and reliability considerations.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel ~10%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with message-based systems and event-driven architectures, including asynchronous communication patterns and eventual consistency.
- Strong foundation in OOP and .NET backend development, including ASP.NET Core fundamentals, DI/IoC, and practical application of SOLID, DDD concepts, and enterprise design patterns.
- Experience writing maintainable, testable backend code, including unit and integration testing, effective use of mocking, and meaningful code reviews.
- Understanding of secure backend and API design, including authentication and authorization concepts, input validation, error handling, and secure handling of sensitive data.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership of backend components, collaborate effectively with architects, and mentor junior developers through design discussions and code reviews.
