What will your typical day look like?

If you're coming from a custom development background:
• Develop and deliver custom software solutions using modern development frameworks (Java, .NET, Python, Node.js) and cloud platforms
• Build product features, APIs, and applications that solve client business problems
If you're coming from an integration/middleware background:
• Develop and deliver integration solutions using middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Software AG, IBM)
• Build APIs, integrations, and connectivity solutions that enable enterprise systems to work together
If you're coming from a Curam background:
• Configure, customize, and extend Merative Curam social program management solutions
• Build custom modules, workflows, and integrations to support health and human services delivery
If you're coming from a DevOps/infrastructure background:
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, or Ansible
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and GitOps workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
• Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes across cloud environments
If you're coming from an AI-enhanced development background:
• Apply AI tooling and LLMs to accelerate software delivery and development workflows
• Build solutions leveraging RAG architectures, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma), and AI frameworks (LangChain, Model Context Protocol)
• Use AI development tools (Cursor, Devin, RooCode, LM Studio) and integrate LLM/SLM capabilities into products
If you're coming from an Azure cloud engineering background:
• Design and implement solutions using Azure services including App Service, Azure Functions, Container Apps, AKS, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
• Build cloud-native architectures with Azure Service Bus, API Management, Application Insights, Key Vault, and Azure Storage
• Leverage Azure DevOps, Entra ID (Azure AD), and monitoring/security services to deliver production-grade solutions
Regardless of your technical track:
• Support pre-sales activities by contributing to RFP responses, effort estimates, technical proposals, and solution demonstrations
• Collaborate with architects and delivery managers to translate customer requirements into implementable designs
• Participate in client-facing meetings to discuss technical approaches, gather requirements, and present solution options
• Contribute to pipeline management by documenting technical details, effort estimates, and assumptions that inform proposal pricing and scoping
• Work across delivery teams to implement what was proposed, ensuring alignment between sales commitments and delivery outcomes

About the team

We're growing our Product Engineering & Development team and seeking an experienced Intermediate Developer who can contribute to both delivery and pre-sales activities. Depending on your background, you'll work in one of several technical domains: custom development, integration/middleware, Curam (social program management), DevOps/infrastructure, AI-enhanced development, or Azure cloud engineering. Regardless of your specialty, you'll support technical solutioning with clients and help scope engagements alongside senior team members. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist who can clearly communicate technical concepts and contribute to the sales process when needed.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

Must have qualifications:
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in ONE OR MORE of the following:
o Custom software development (Java, .NET, Python, Node.js, or similar) with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
o Integration/middleware development (MuleSoft, Software AG, IBM, or similar platforms)
o Curam configuration, customization, and social program management solutions
o DevOps/infrastructure engineering (Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code)
o AI-enhanced development (LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI coding tools like Cursor/Devin, prompt engineering)
o Azure cloud engineering (Azure services, cloud-native architectures, PaaS/container solutions)
• Demonstrated ability to estimate technical work and contribute to proposal/RFP responses
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders
• Comfortable working in client-facing environments and contributing to the sales process alongside delivery work
Nice to have:
• Experience across multiple technical domains listed above
• Exposure to solution design or pre-sales support in a consulting environment
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and supporting staffing/resource planning activities
• Certifications relevant to your domain (Azure, AWS, MuleSoft, Kubernetes, etc.)

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $138,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
