Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Finance Technology Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Support the financial services strategy and transformation programs, focused on retail banking and channels such as branch, digital and contact centers
• Gathering and analyzing client information and develop data-driven insights to support the development of platform and channel business and technology strategies
• Understand the client's business and technology strategy and operations through research, interviews, formulating and testing hypotheses
• Knowledge and experience of end-to-end SDLC, including waterfall and agile development methodologies
• Gather and prioritize business and technology requirements
• Knowledge of program and project management process, tools and ceremonies
• Deliver client projects on time and within budget, utilizing tested Project Management methods, exceeding client expectations through outstanding team performance and stakeholder management
• Work directly with clients to integrate People, Process and Technology components into meaningful, value added solutions
• Build and maintain effective, trusting and collaborative client relationships at multiple levels
• Collaborate with team members at various levels to lead and develop compelling client proposals, white paper, thought leadership and point of view, describing the business challenge and proposed business and technology solutions, scope, risks and dependencies
• Contribute to building a strong and sustainable PwC culture through effective employee engagement, mentoring and coaching team members through timely , meaningful verbal and written feedback
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Significant experience within Technology management, and / or strategy
• Prior work experience with a Tier-4 financial services consulting firm, financial institution or an internal consulting group
• Strong understanding of one or more business domains within Banking or Insurance verticals
• Hands on experience with technology domains including but not limited to enterprise architecture, Cloud deployment and migration, - DevOps, Application development and delivery, and automation.
• A proven track record of successful delivery engagements and a demonstrated ability to manage client communications, expectations, and overall team success
• Exceptional business and technical acumen and good problem solving skills
• Ability to take a proactive and logical approach to gather data, and synthesize complex constructs clearly and effectively
• Ability to develop and nurture genuine relationships rooted in trust with client and cross-functional teams
• Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines and changing conditions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas
• Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• Ability to travel to client sites across Canada, as necessary and required
