Job Description

As an AI Director, you will lead the strategy, design, and delivery of enterprise grade AI solutions within highly regulated financial services environments. Operating at the intersection of AI strategy, modern cloud architectures, prompt engineering, and client engagement, you will help organizations harness advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI to solve complex risk and compliance challenges. This role combines deep technical AI expertise with consulting leadership, practice development, and team coaching. You will influence executive stakeholders, guide largescale AI transformations, and ensure AI solutions are scalable, explainable, and production ready.

• Own and drive AI strategy and roadmap development for client engagements, from use case identification through solution architecture and deployment
• Lead the design and implementation of advanced AI, machine learning, and analytics solutions, including model development, prompt engineering, and integration into client environments
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives on AI adoption, governance, model risk, explainability, and responsible AI
• Oversee end to end AI solution delivery, ensuring technical quality, scalability, and alignment with business outcomes
• Manage consulting operations across multiple engagements, including project budgeting, effort estimation, staffing, and delivery governance
• Collaborate closely with cloud, data, and engineering teams to align AI solutions with modern cloud architectures and data platforms
• Drive business development, shaping proposals, leading pursuits, and expanding existing client relationships
• Build and mentor high p erforming teams across data science, AI engineering, and consulting, fostering both technical excellence and leadership capability
• Contribute to practice growth and thought leadership, developing repeatable AI assets, accelerators, and market points of view

What You'll Bring:

• Extensive experience working in a consulting environment, including managing multiple client engagements and senior stakeholders
• Experience applying AI and advanced analytics within financial services risk, compliance, or financial crime domains is desired ( e.g., AML, fraud, sanctions)
• Familiarity with regulatory expectations impacting AI and analytics in Canada (e.g., FINTRAC, OSFI), with the ability to design compliant AI solutions
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
• Professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, cloud, or AI related credentials) are considered assets but not required
• A seasoned AI leader who can operate fluently across business strategy, modern cloud platforms, and hands on technical depth
• Passionate about building responsible, scalable AI solutions that deliver measurable business impact in regulated industries

The salary range for this position is $191,200 - $241,200. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres . Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements . We are committed to offering competitive compensation and adhere to all relevant pay transparency legislation.
