Your Impact

• Design and oversee the construction of mine waste facilities, including tailings storage facilities and waste rock dumps.
• Conduct geotechnical and environmental assessments to ensure safe and sustainable operations.
• Develop and implement mine waste management plans that meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Perform stability and seepage analyses to support facility integrity.
• Monitor and evaluate performance of mine waste systems and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare clear, data-driven technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, environmental scientists, and water resource engineers.
• Provide technical support during project planning and execution phases.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related engineering discipline; Master's degree considered an asset.
• 5-7 years of experience in mine waste management or related field.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Ontario.
• Expertise in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, with experience in tailings dam design and management.
• Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD and GeoStudio.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experience in project management and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Compensation

• BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $98,800 - $130,800
• MB & ON: $90,100 - $124,100
• Atlantic Provinces & QC: $89,200 - $118,500
