Your Impact
- Design and oversee the construction of mine waste facilities, including tailings storage facilities and waste rock dumps.
- Conduct geotechnical and environmental assessments to ensure safe and sustainable operations.
- Develop and implement mine waste management plans that meet regulatory and client requirements.
- Perform stability and seepage analyses to support facility integrity.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of mine waste systems and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare clear, data-driven technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, environmental scientists, and water resource engineers.
- Provide technical support during project planning and execution phases.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related engineering discipline; Master's degree considered an asset.
- 5-7 years of experience in mine waste management or related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for registration in Ontario.
- Expertise in geotechnical engineering principles and practices, with experience in tailings dam design and management.
- Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD and GeoStudio.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience in project management and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $98,800 - $130,800
- MB & ON: $90,100 - $124,100
- Atlantic Provinces & QC: $89,200 - $118,500
