The Opportunity

Build the Future With Us - Join our Earth & Environment team in Mississauga, where our experts collaborate across Canada to protect natural landscapes, strengthen community foundations, and champion sustainable development. You'll join a multidisciplinary group ranging from marine biologists to geotechnical engineers, all working together to make a tangible impact.

In this role, you'll support landfill, waste management, and environmental field programs that directly enhance community well-being, environmental protection, and climate resilience.

Your Impact

• Support monitoring and construction inspection programs at landfills and other waste management facilities.
• Assist with assessments, approvals, implementation, monitoring, maintenance and design of landfills, waste processing, and transfer facilities.
• Participate in groundwater, soil gas, surface water, and soil sampling at environmental and contaminated sites.
• Contribute to construction quality assurance, permitting work, tendering, and contractor oversight.
• Review contractor bids for waste management and construction projects.
• Support office activities including data management, interpretation of waste, geochemical, hydrogeological, and geotechnical results, and report development.
• Support proposal preparation and client-relationship activities.
• Follow safe work practices in accordance with corporate and site-specific health & safety standards.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Geological, or Geoscience Engineering.
• Academic exposure to environmental engineering, geochemistry (preferably aqueous), groundwater, soils, and solid waste disciplines (e.g., geosynthetics, landfill gas, waste planning).
• Eligible and progressing toward P.Eng. licensure in Ontario.
• Able to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated and adaptable.
• Experience writing technical reports, interpreting engineering specifications, and understanding O&M manuals (landfill/waste experience an asset).
• Field experience in civil, geotechnical, geo-environmental, waste, or construction QA.
• Willing to travel to rural project sites and work outdoors early in your career.
• Knowledge of Ontario waste regulations and guidelines is an asset.
• Interest in business development and client relationship building.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, perform quantity take-offs, and understand technical specifications and construction contracts.
• Involvement or interest in Ontario waste management/diversion organizations is an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 - $88,400

MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
