Join our collaborative ecology team where your work directly contributes to protecting biodiversity and shaping sustainable development across Ontario. You'll lead aquatic field programs, mentor junior staff, and deliver real-world conservation outcomes-all while being supported by a team that values your growth and ideas.

Your Impact

• Lead and support fish and fish habitat field programs, including habitat inventories, fish community sampling, and Species at Risk assessments.
• Conduct spawning assessments, benthic invertebrate sampling, and water quality evaluations using recognized protocols (OBBN, CABIN, EEM).
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and contribute to environmental approvals and multidisciplinary project documentation.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of learning and safety.
• Engage with clients, Indigenous communities, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and collaboration.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver integrated solutions for complex projects.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Degree in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field with a strong background in aquatic ecology.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or applied ecology.
• Proficiency in fish identification, electrofishing, and aquatic habitat assessment protocols.
• Familiarity with Ontario environmental legislation and permitting processes.
• Certifications such as ATV, Pleasure Craft Operator, and electrofishing are assets.
• Valid Ontario driver's license and willingness to travel for fieldwork, including remote locations.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $69,700 - $92,300
MB & ON: $63,600 - $87,500
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $62,900 - $83,600
