As an Intermediate Construction Materials Field Technician in our London office, you'll strengthen the foundations - literally - of the buildings, roads, and public spaces people rely on every day.

You'll work alongside talented technical specialists and engineers to ensure quality, safety, and performance on a wide range of commercial, industrial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. This is hands-on work with real-world impact, supported by a global firm that champions learning, growth, and belonging.

Your Impact

• Perform Field Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) testing on construction materials including soils, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt.
• Conduct soil and asphalt compaction testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Carry out subgrade and footing inspections to verify project specifications.
• Collect, document, and analyze samples, delivering accurate and timely insights that influence critical project decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to troubleshoot and resolve field challenges effectively.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to guarantee precision and reliability in all measurements.
• Champion safety and quality practices on every site in alignment with our field and laboratory Health & Safety program.
• Perform testing in strict accordance with CSA, CCIL, and ASTM standards.
• Pursue CCIL certification for concrete testing to enhance your expertise and advance your technical capability.

The Skills that Set You Apart

• Experience in materials field testing and inspection, laboratory testing, or applicable post-secondary education.
• Diploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
• Registration or eligibility for OACETT or PEO is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with civil construction practices and relevant testing standards.
• Ability to work independently in both field and laboratory settings while collaborating closely with supervisors and project teams.
• Valid driver's licence with a clear abstract.
• Proficiency with CSA and ASTM testing standards and hands-on comfort with field and lab equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors year-round and committed to strict safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments and support overtime, nightshifts, and weekend work as needed.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $63,300 - $83,800
MB & ON: $57,700 - $79,500
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $57,200 - $75,900
