KPMG is seeking a Senior Manager, Technology Finance & Operations to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) team.

This role serves as a trusted finance business partner to the CIO and ITS Leadership Team providing financial leadership, operational support and strategic insight across a technology budget portfolio of $100M+.

The successful candidate will lead core financial management processes, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, investment analysis, portfolio governance, and cloud financial operations (FinOps), while helping enable effective decision-making and execution of strategic technology initiatives.

What you will do
  • Lead the financial management of a $100M+ technology portfolio, including planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial performance management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CIO and ITS Leadership Team, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and operational priorities.
  • Drive financial governance and oversight of the technology investment portfolio, including business case development, funding decisions, and benefits realization.
  • Lead Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) and technology cost management practices to optimize spend, improve transparency, and maximize value from technology investments.
  • Develop executive-level reporting, dashboards, and presentations that enable informed decision-making and effective management of financial risks and opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and business leaders to strengthen financial discipline, support workforce planning, and drive operational excellence across ITS.

What you bring to the role
  • Bachelor's degree and CPA designation required.
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in technology finance, including technology financial management, cost allocation methodologies, software license management, investment analysis, and portfolio financial governance.
  • Experience supporting large, complex organizations with responsibility for significant operating and capital budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess the financial implications of technology investments and decisions across infrastructure, software, cloud, and digital initiatives.
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities, with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
  • Experience with Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps), including cloud cost management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and optimization. Experience with cloud cost management platforms is considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with executive, financial, and technical audiences.

KPMG Ontario Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills, & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
