Job Description
Are you an FP&A professional who understands how a SaaS Go-to-Market organization really works, pipeline, capacity, productivity, headcount, investment and the financial decisions required to drive sustainable growth?
SWIM is partnering with a high-growth, pre-IPO enterprise SaaS company to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst, GTM Finance.
This is not a traditional FP&A role focused primarily on budgets, reporting and variance analysis.
You will sit close to the commercial organization, partnering with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Revenue Operations to help answer some of the most important questions facing a scaling SaaS business:
Where should we invest? How should headcount scale with revenue? Do we have the right sales capacity? What is driving GTM performance? Where are the risks and opportunities?
You will combine strong FP&A fundamentals with commercial and operational analysis, translating complex financial and GTM data into recommendations that influence planning, investment, resource allocation and growth decisions.
For someone who enjoys being embedded in the business and wants to operate as a true strategic Finance partner, this is an exceptional opportunity.
Our client is a high-growth, international enterprise SaaS company with a strong reputation for innovation, collaboration and thoughtful leadership.
As a pre-IPO organization, the company continues to scale globally through organic growth, product expansion and strategic initiatives.
Finance is deeply embedded within the organization and operates as a trusted partner to business leadership. As the GTM organization continues to evolve, Finance is becoming increasingly involved in revenue planning, workforce strategy, capacity modelling, investment decisions and operational performance.
This is an environment where strong Finance professionals are given visibility, ownership and the opportunity to influence decisions well beyond the numbers.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, GTM Finance, you’ll work directly with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Revenue Operations and Finance.
The role combines traditional FP&A ownership with sophisticated GTM analysis and strategic business partnership.
What You’ll Be Doing
- GTM Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic Finance partner to leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Revenue Operations, bringing financial and analytical insight to commercial decisions.
- Sales Capacity & Headcount Planning: Build and evolve capacity and workforce models that connect hiring plans, ramp assumptions, productivity and revenue growth.
- Pipeline & GTM Performance: Partner with GTM and Revenue Operations teams to analyze pipeline, productivity, performance trends and key operating metrics, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Planning & Forecasting: Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning for your areas of the business, connecting financial outcomes to the underlying operational drivers.
- Investment & Resource Allocation: Evaluate headcount, programs and strategic GTM investments to help determine where the organization should deploy resources to generate the greatest impact.
- Scenario & Financial Modelling: Build dynamic financial models to evaluate growth scenarios, organizational changes, investments and other strategic decisions.
- Business Insights: Combine financial and operational data to identify trends, challenge assumptions and develop actionable recommendations for the business.
- Executive Reporting: Translate complex analysis into clear, concise presentations and recommendations for senior Finance and GTM leadership.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Improve models, dashboards, reporting and planning processes to increase visibility, efficiency and scalability as the organization grows.
You’re likely already a strong Senior Financial Analyst, Senior FP&A Analyst or Senior Strategic Finance Analyst within a SaaS or technology company and have progressed beyond traditional FP&A into genuine business partnership.
You understand that strong GTM Finance isn't simply about managing a budget.
You're curious about what drives revenue, how teams should scale, where capacity is needed, how resources should be allocated and what the data is telling the business about future performance.
You're equally comfortable working through a complex financial model and sitting across from a senior business leader discussing what the numbers mean and what the organization should do next.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with:
- Approximately 5–9 years of progressive Finance, FP&A or Strategic Finance experience.
- Meaningful experience within a high-growth B2B SaaS or technology organization.
- Direct Finance partnership with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and/or Revenue Operations.
- Experience with headcount planning and/or sales capacity modelling.
- Exposure to pipeline, productivity, resource allocation, hiring/ramp assumptions or other GTM performance drivers.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning fundamentals.
- Advanced financial modelling and scenario analysis capabilities.
- Experience combining financial and operational data to develop actionable business recommendations.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the operational drivers behind financial performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to partner with and influence senior stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets capabilities.
- Experience with FP&A platforms such as Pigment, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, DataRails or similar is considered an asset.
- Experience within an enterprise or complex SaaS GTM environment is highly desirable.
- CPA, CFA or MBA is considered an asset but is not required.
This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional FP&A and deepen your experience within strategic GTM Finance.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Partner directly with senior GTM leaders.
- Develop deeper expertise in sales capacity, pipeline, workforce and investment planning.
- Influence decisions around where and how the organization invests for growth.
- Work within a sophisticated, scaling SaaS environment.
- Gain exposure to a global, pre-IPO organization.
- Build models and processes that will evolve alongside the business.
- Develop toward increasingly senior strategic Finance and business-partnering opportunities.
Compensation
United States: USD $111,400–$150,600
Canada: CAD $100,300–$135,700
The total compensation package also includes:
- Equity participation.
- Comprehensive health and dental benefits.
- RRSP match (Canada).
- Unlimited PTO, with a minimum of 20 business days per year.
Remote across the United States or Canada.
