What you can expect to do here:

  • You will lead assessments, planning, and design of innovative water and wastewater infrastructure projects, shaping community well-being and environmental stewardship.
  • You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs, reports, and cost estimates while navigating approvals and ensuring project excellence.
  • You will engage directly with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors, building strong professional relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • You will execute the design of public sector municipal servicing projects including treatment facilities, process works, civil works, force mains, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains, and feeder mains.
  • You will coordinate, coach and mentoring junior staff.
  • You will support all phases of construction, from fieldwork to contract administration, gaining hands-on experience and mastering industry best practices.
  • You will contribute to feasibility studies, condition assessments, and permit applications, helping drive project strategy and implementation.
  • You will mentor and support the development of junior engineers and technologists, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
  • You will liaise with various municipal, utility and approval agencies, and maintain client communications.
  • You will seize opportunities to participate in proposal preparation and project documentation, enhancing your leadership and communication skills within a dynamic team environment.


What you'll bring to WSP:

  • Hold a degree in civil, process, or mechanical engineering and possess a valid Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence in Canada
  • 7-12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in municipal and provincial approval processes, permitting, and a thorough understanding of Ontario environmental standards and guidelines.


  • Proven ability to design and manage both horizontal and vertical municipal infrastructure projects, including hands-on experience with project management, contract administration, and fostering client relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard design and modelling software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, BIM, Revit, MicroStation, WaterCAD , InfoWater, and SewerCAD.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to deliver innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering high-quality results within fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and MS Project, supporting effective project documentation, communication, and leadership across all project phases.
