We are looking for a senior analytical consultant who is versatile and results-oriented to join our Supply Chain Transformation team.

The selected candidate will participate in transformation projects aimed at improving our clients' planning processes, operational models, data, and technologies. They will primarily work with organizations in the life sciences, consumer goods, retail, wholesale, and food and beverage sectors.
The position requires experience in supply chain process reengineering, designing target operational models, and implementing planning solutions such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, and Kinaxis.
What you will do
As part of the Supply Chain Transformation team, you will be responsible for:

  • Participate in projects to transform supply chain planning processes, operational models, and technologies.
  • Analyze current processes, systems, data, planning policies, and organizational capabilities to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and quantify the impact of planning issues on service levels, inventory, costs, capacity, and operational performance.
  • Gather business requirements through interviews, workshops, data analysis, and working sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the reengineering of supply chain planning processes, including demand, procurement, inventory, replenishment, production, scheduling, and S&OP/integrated business planning.
  • Document current processes, identify non-value-added activities, and design target processes that are more integrated, standardized, efficient, and focused on decision-making.
  • Facilitate or support process design workshops with sales, operations, finance, technology, and supply chain teams.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, use cases, process flows, business rules, and design documents.
  • Help define target operating models.
  • Support the assessment of organizational impacts and the transition from the current operating model to the target model.
  • Participate in the functional design and configuration of solutions such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, and Kinaxis.
  • Support the definition and configuration of key planning parameters, including hierarchies, time horizons, service levels, safety stock, replenishment policies, lot sizes, lead times, capacities, production schedules, as well as alerts and exceptions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design integrations with ERP systems, data platforms, execution systems, and other supply chain applications.
  • Participate in data preparation, cleansing, and validation activities, including master data, sales history, forecasts, inventory policies, and planning parameters.
  • Prepare and execute functional test, integration test, and user acceptance test scenarios.
  • Analyze test results, document defects, and collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve them.
  • Develop clear and well-structured deliverables, including analyses, presentations, process flows, design documents, user guides, and training materials.
  • Support change management, training, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization activities.
  • Coordinate certain activities or project components and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Effectively communicate the status of the work, risks, challenges, and recommendations to project managers and client stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's methodologies, tools, accelerators, and best practices.
What you bring to the role
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience, including significant experience in management consulting and supply chain transformation.
  • Proven experience at a Big Four firm or a leading consulting firm, delivering complex projects for large organizations.
  • Practical experience leading supply chain transformation programs involving a significant process reengineering component.
  • Experience in designing and implementing target operating models, including processes, governance, organization, roles, capabilities, data, and technologies.
  • Experience in at least two areas of supply chain planning: demand, procurement, inventory, replenishment, production, scheduling, or S&OP/integrated business planning.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major planning platform, such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, or Kinaxis.
  • Experience in at least one of the different phases of the solution implementation lifecycle, including design, configuration, integrations, data, testing, training, deployment, and adoption.
  • Experience in at least one of the following industries: life sciences, consumer products, retail, wholesale, and food and beverage.
  • Knowledge of planning challenges specific to these sectors, such as seasonality, promotions, product launches, shelf life, capacity constraints, demand fluctuations, and service level requirements.
  • Ability to analyze processes and data, identify the root causes of a problem, and formulate concrete recommendations.
  • A college degree in operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain data and its application in planning processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to facilitate workshops and prepare presentations.
  • Ability to produce high-quality analyses and deliverables with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, technology specialists, and stakeholders at various levels.
  • Sense of initiative, independence, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • University degree in operations management, supply chain management, industrial engineering, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • A relevant certification, such as APICS/ASCM, PMP, SAP IBP, or a certification related to another planning solution, is a plus.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $73,000-$97,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies , and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $77,000-$102,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
