KPMG's Finance Transformation practice helps leading Canadian and global financial institutions modernize their finance functions to drive efficiency, insight, and enterprise value. We work with CFOs and finance executives across retail banking, commercial banking, capital markets, and wealth management to transform finance operating models, optimize processes, and implement enabling technologies.

We are seeking an experienced Director to lead complex client engagements, shape large-scale transformation programs, and contribute to the growth of our Financial Services consulting practice.

What you will do
  • Lead large-scale Finance Transformation programs for banking clients.
  • Advise CFOs, CAOs, Controllers, and Finance leaders on finance strategy and operating model design.
  • Deliver finance modernization initiatives including:
    • Finance Target Operating Models
    • Finance Process Optimization
    • Financial Planning & Analysis Transformation
    • Close & Consolidation Transformation
    • Regulatory and Management Reporting
    • Data, Reporting & Analytics
    • AI and Automation solutions
    • ERP and EPM implementations
  • Manage engagement teams and oversee quality delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Build executive-level client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
  • Lead business development activities, proposal development, and market pursuits.
  • Contribute to thought leadership within Banking and Financial Services.
  • Coach and develop consultants, managers, and emerging leaders.
What you bring to the role
  • 10+ years of combined consulting and industry experience.
  • Experience delivering transformation initiatives within:
    • Retail Banking
    • Commercial Banking
    • Capital Markets
    • Wealth & Asset Management
  • Strong understanding of banking finance functions, including:
    • Financial Controllership and Reporting
    • FP&A
    • Regulatory Reporting
    • Risk, Treasury & Finance Integration
    • Finance Data Management
  • Experience with major finance technologies such as:
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • Oracle Cloud (ERP and EPM)
    • Workday and Adaptive
    • OneStream
    • Anaplan
  • Proven ability to manage senior client stakeholders and large consulting teams.
  • Strong business development and proposal-writing experience.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent designation.
  • Experience leading multi-million-dollar transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated track record in Financial Services consulting and practice development.
