The Opportunity

Shape the financial success of transformative projects as a Project Accountant within our Property & Buildings Finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of project financials across Canada. You'll partner with project managers and controllers to deliver insights that drive decision-making and profitability. From configuring projects in line with contractual terms to supporting month-end close, your expertise will help us deliver projects that enhance communities and create lasting impact.

Your Impact
  • Configure and maintain project financials to reflect contract terms, margins, and compliance standards.
  • Deliver timely and accurate revenue recognition, cost forecasts, and variance analyses that inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with project managers to optimise financial performance and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support month-end close activities and prepare insightful financial reports for leadership teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement by leveraging tools like Oracle and dashboards to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Influence profitability strategies by identifying trends and opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Ensure financial governance and compliance to safeguard project integrity and client trust.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Administration or Accounting.
  • 3+ years of experience in project accounting or financial management within professional services or 5+ years in an other industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle experience is an asset) and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A mindset focused on collaboration, problem-solving, and delivering work that matters to clients and communities.
