WSP is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Planner/Scheduler to join one of Ontario offices. You will play a key role in supporting project managers with planning, scheduling, change management, project monitoring, and controls reporting. You may work on an array of exciting projects within nuclear, power generation, power grid, heavy industrial, mining, metals, etc! This hands-on role is critical in establishing and maintaining a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and tracking progress across all phases of project infrastructure programs. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in any of the aforementioned project environments, have regulatory awareness, long-duration lifecycle planning, and integration of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities. You will also support proposal development with industry-specific scheduling insights and scenario modeling. As part of WSP's national ERI (Energy, Resources & Industry) group, you'll work on some of Canada's most complex initiatives, gaining exposure to refurbishment, decommissioning, and new build programs. You'll be mentored by industry leaders and fast-track your development toward becoming a senior project controls analyst, with potential for PMP certification.

Depending on the project, this position may require travel within the GTA and surrounding areas, specifically Tiverton, Pickering areas if working on a nuclear project.

Your Impact

In this role, you will:
  • Lead full lifecycle planning for EP/EPCM/EPC projects
  • Facilitate interactive planning sessions to establish PMBs tailored to project scope
  • Develop and maintain detailed schedules, including regulatory milestones and licensing phases
  • Perform resource loading/leveling and critical path analysis for project deliverables
  • Support proposal teams with project-specific planning and scheduling inputs
  • Mentor junior staff in project scheduling best practices
  • Integrate client schedules with EPC timelines, ensuring alignment with safety and compliance standards
  • Identify and model schedule impacts related to licensing delays, outage windows, and regulatory reviews
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop "what-if" scenarios for project scope changes
  • Define WBS and generate master schedule baselines for engineering, procurement, and construction activities
  • Track and report risks specific to industry operations, including regulatory and environmental factors
  • Maintain risk register and support mitigation planning for project-related schedule threats

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with hands-on experience in complex nuclear, power generation, power grid, mining, heavy industrial project scheduling
  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management principles in regulated environments
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in planning/scheduling for nuclear, power generation, mining or heavy industrial projects
  • Familiarity with Canadian nuclear regulatory frameworks (e.g., CNSC milestones) is a strong asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Oracle systems and Power BI is an asset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to risk and change management
  • MUST be able to pass Security Clearance

Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $122,900 - $162,800
  • MB & ON: $112,100 - $154,400
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $111,000 - $147,400
