Event Management Services, a group within Procurement, is seeking an Event Specialist to support their team. The Event Specialist will provide full-service delivery in booking and planning meetings at PwC. This role will also assist with ongoing event projects and will support MES to develop, organize, and execute PwC meetings, events and conferences in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The position reports to the Manager, Event Management Services and will regularly interact with other PwC stakeholders that could include Partners, staff, suppliers and on-site conference staff. The role of Meeting and Events Specialist will best suit an individual who is: professional in approach, high-energy, disciplined, exhibits exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The individual must be flexible to meet competing demands and possess outstanding communication skills which will enable them to maintain a sense of composure during emotionally charged situations, and to ensure deliverables. This individual must be able to occasionally work outside of the traditional 9:00 - 5:00 workday.

Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Meeting and Event s Specialist , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high-quality client service, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide end-to-end planning and coordination of corporate events, ensuring seamless execution from conception to completion
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define event objectives , parameters, and deliverables tailored to corporate needs
• Source and manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality execution of corporate event requirements
• Oversee logistics , including venue arrangements, list management, and communications for corporate meetings and events
• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to corporate financial guidelines
• Utilize platforms like Cvent to manage event registration, tracking, and reporting for corporate events
• Maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers and industry professionals to leverage the best resources for corporate events
• Support the Manager and Senior Manager with financial reporting, cost-saving initiatives, and reconciliation of corporate event expenses
• Provide creative and solution-focused approaches to enhance the quality and impact of corporate meetings and events
• Remain adaptable and professional, ensuring high standards of service delivery for corporate clients and leaders, including senior executives and C-suite members

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Relevant experience in event planning with demonstrated success
• Supplier management skills to ensure effective collaboration and execution
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• College diploma or bachelor's degree in marketing or business preferred
• Desire to achieve designation in event planning, such as CMP (Certified Meeting Professional)
• Knowledge of Cvent event management system is highly desirable
• Ability to manage confidential projects with a high degree of sensitivity
• Flexibility to work overtime, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Willingness to travel occasionally for external event support
• Ability to complete physical tasks like lifting boxes and materials as needed
