The Director, Experience Design, leads the design and delivery of world-class digital experiences for KPMG's public-facing website, kpmg.com, via a global design system, as well as email marketing templates, digital applications and our client-facing preference centre. You will focus on creating intuitive, engaging, and personalized digital journeys for prospects and clients. This position involves overseeing a multidisciplinary team of UX/UI and product designers, and partnering with your peers in Digital Marketing, Digital Product and Technology, while collaborating across global Member Firms to shape a consistent, high-quality customer experience.

The expected base salary range for this position is $135,000 to $185,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

What you will do
- Drive the vision for customer-centric digital design experiences aligned with KPMG's branding and business objectives. Drive innovation through best-in-class user experience strategies informed by global insights, competitive research, and emerging trends
- Lead a team of UX/UI and product designers to design innovative solutions that enhance user engagement and personalization. Hire, mentor, and inspire a team of design professionals, building expertise in experience design principles
- Actively engage with global stakeholders to understand their needs and craft solutions that deliver business value while promoting a design-thinking culture through cross-functional collaboration. Present concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, gathering actionable feedback and iterating designs to ensure alignment with business objectives and user needs. Own and evolve the journey mapping, wireframing, and prototyping processes to create seamless user experiences
- Use data and analytics to evaluate the performance of user experiences, recommending optimizations to improve engagement and usability. Leverage analytics and optimization tools (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Test and Target) to define and refine performance metrics. Employ data-driven decision-making for continuous improvement of user experiences
- Partner with marketing, product, and technical teams to continuously evaluate and refine the digital strategy and user experience
- Lead and advance the development and maintenance of the KPMG Design System, set global guidelines and establish a governance framework in partnership with the global brand marketing team. Advocate for accessibility and inclusion in all digital design elements
- 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles overseeing user experience and design delivery
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Expertise in managing customer journeys, wireframes, and interactive prototypes in collaboration with UX/UI professionals, developers, and marketing teams
- Deep understanding and advanced experience with accessibility standards, digital compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and multilingual design
- Proven ability to create data-driven, user-centric experiences across web, mobile, and responsive platforms while influencing business strategies with excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Strong experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, collaboration platforms (Jira, Confluence), and familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular, React) and enterprise-level content management systems like Adobe Experience Manager
