These individuals analyse client needs, develop operational strategies, and offer guidance and support to help clients streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business performance.As an operations consulting generalist at PwC, you will possess a broad understanding of various aspects of operations consulting. You will provide comprehensive guidance and support to clients in optimising operational efficiency and effectiveness. Working in this area, you will analyse client needs, develop operational solutions, and offer recommendations tailored to specific business requirements.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As an Operations & Procurement, Senior Associate, you'll work as a key member of a project team to solve complex business issues from strategy through to execution for our clients across North America. These client projects will range from assessments and pilots to comprehensive end-to-end digital transformations, on teams with various sizes and compositions. You'll work alongside Junior, Senior or Executive client teams, as well as offshore and onshore PwC team members and third-party vendors, to conduct detailed analyses, draw insights, strategize, develop and communicate recommendations, and implement these recommendations to create lasting value.
PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in business transformations to drive cost reductions, improve processes/performance, or implement technology solutions.
• Support engagement delivery by conducting detailed analyses, preparing client and executive presentations, and procurement documents.
• Lead mixed consulting/client teams of 2-3 from initial assessment through implementation and continuous improvement.
• Manage engagement risk and project economics, including planning and budgeting.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 70% of the time to support client delivery and ensure successful project implementation.
• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers at key clients.
• Contribute to pursuits and proposal development, including innovative approaches and methodologies.
• Collaborate with PwC colleagues globally to develop unique solutions for clients' needs.
• Support thought leadership development, conduct market research, and deliver training.
• Engage in personal development through structured coaching, continuous upskilling, and participation in staff recruitment and development activities
Ex periences and skills you'll use to solve
• Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a leading management consulting firm or similar industry role
• Business transformation leveraging emerging technologies, and ability to collaborate with Operations teams to translate business expectations into technology implementations
• Proficiency in category management methodology and strategic sourcing (direct & indirect), including sustainable and/or agile procurement practices
• Experience in spend management and analytics, and use of data analytics to support data-driven decision-making
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and applying agile principles to project delivery; expertise in process optimization and facilitating value stream mapping/business process workshops
• Development and implementation of operating models, with experience in value chain risk management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with stakeholders at various seniority levels; ability to build client relationships and leverage networks/community involvement
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using tools like Excel, Alteryx, PowerBI , and Tableau; capable of strategic, creative thinking and problem solving
• High level of professional integrity and teamwork spirit; proactive ownership of assignments with a strong desire to learn and inspire others
• Experience preparing and coordinating complex written/verbal materials, with a commitment to continuous learning and digital adaptability
