Job Description

Job Title: Data Entry Clerk
Department: Administration / Operations
Reports To: Office Manager / Data Manager

Job Summary:

The Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in company systems and databases. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy to ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enter and update data into databases, spreadsheets, or company systems
  • Verify accuracy of information before and after data entry
  • Maintain and organize records, files, and documents
  • Review data for errors and correct any inconsistencies
  • Retrieve data from the database as requested
  • Prepare and sort documents for data entry
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Generate reports as needed
Requirements & Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus)
  • Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role
  • Fast typing skills with high accuracy
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and data entry software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills
