Our Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services (GRCS) professionals offer a comprehensive suite of advisory services designed to elevate the efficiency and effectiveness of the three lines of defense. The Risk and Compliance Transformation team is dedicated to helping clients operationalize and refine their risk management and compliance functions. This team has a global mandate and spans multiple industries, with a particular emphasis on Financial Institutions, where we focus on the review, design, enhancement, and integration of: Enterprise Risk Management; Operational Risk Management; Regulatory Compliance; Third-party Risk Management; Climate Risk Management; Enterprise / Operational Resilience; 1b Functions; and Control Testing Functions.
The successful Manager candidate will be responsible for overseeing a team while actively supporting the planning, execution, and reporting for various engagements. You will lead larger engagement teams and manage individual projects directly, ensuring strategic alignment and delivering high-quality outcomes. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse geographies and industries, tackling challenging and groundbreaking projects. Furthermore, you will play a critical role in business development and proposal pursuits, all while building strong relationships with colleagues and enhancing your professional skills to pave the way for future success.

What you will do
Business Development:
- Actively lead business development efforts, including the creation of proposals, marketing materials, and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring their engagement and satisfaction through quality of work.
Project Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and project manager for multiple clients, ensuring consistent communication and effective relationship management.
- Deliver a portfolio of multiple simultaneous client engagements of varying sizes, scopes, and complexities, ensuring all projects are executed effectively and efficiently.
Day-to-Day Execution:
- Oversee, build, and coach a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff to foster their professional development and skill enhancement.
- Support large transformational engagements spanning second line functions (e.g., operational risk, compliance) and first line functions (e.g., control testing).
- Design and implement pertinent frameworks and artifacts, such as risk appetite, ORM frameworks, and compliance libraries.
- Develop tailored risk and compliance governance structures, including Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer functions, as well as Management and Board Committees.
- Enhance and implement existing risk and compliance systems/tools based on business requirements, utilizing GRC tools, AI agents, and robotic process automation.
- Participate in the development and delivery of analyses, client engagement plans, deliverables, reports, and presentations.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Risk / Compliance Functions, with a strong focus on Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, Control Testing, and Regulatory Compliance. Direct Management / Risk consulting experience is considered an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of key areas such as Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk, with a demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and projects.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven capability to effectively convey complex concepts and services to clients and junior members.
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and deadlines while delivering high quality results
- Advanced understanding of technology solutions in risk and compliance, and ability to leverage these tools
- Superior skills in visual communication and presentation using PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
- Strongly motivated, striving for excellence and innovation, with the capability to promote a culture of collaboration among team members.
- Demonstrated track record of applying artificial intelligence and data analytics to develop innovative risk management solutions.
- Capacity to mentor and train junior staff on the application of AI and data analytics techniques
- Flexible working style, with a willingness to learn new methodologies / approaches and ability to navigate obscure and complex client challenges
- High level of personal confidence and drive, with demonstrable leadership qualities to inspire and guide teams, both within and outside the work environment.
