The Opportunity

As a Project Manager - Geotechnical Construction Materials, you will support the delivery of multidisciplinary construction material testing, quality control and quality assurance projects that shape how communities live, work, and connect. Based in Ontario, this role is ideal for a developing project manager ready to take on greater ownership of scope, coordination, and client interaction while continuing to grow within a collaborative, high-performing team.

You will work closely with senior project managers, technical leads and field staff, as well as clients to help deliver projects that are technically sound, financially responsible, and aligned with WSP's commitment to quality and sustainability.

As a Geotechnical Construction Materials project Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction projects across a diverse range of industries, including commercial, industrial, and institutional building sites and infrastructure projects.

Your Impact
  • Work with the client project manager and the WSP project director to develop an agreed-upon document framework and review protocol.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of QA/QC projects across multiple disciplines
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and risk under the guidance of senior project leadership
  • Coordinate internal teams, subconsultants, and stakeholders to support integrated project delivery
  • Manage client communication, meeting coordination, and progress reporting
  • Apply WSP project management standards to ensure quality, safety, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage the overall health and safety aspects of the project.
  • Verify that progress reports and scheduling/budget updates are prepared in a timely fashion
  • Support proposal preparation, work planning, and resource coordination
  • Complete the day-to-day management of the project and personnel.
  • Chair / attend project team meetings/conference calls
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and team collaboration

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • More than 5 years experience supporting or managing construction, building, or infrastructure projects
  • Post secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary project delivery within consulting, engineering, or construction environments
  • Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, and cost control
  • Familiarity with Canadian building projects, delivery models, and client environments
  • Progress toward, or interest in, professional designation (P.Eng., PMP, or equivalent)

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 - $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 - $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $69,900 - $92,900
