Position: Healthcare Security Guard Full Time - Hotel Dieu Hospital

Site: Hotel Dieu Hospital- 166 Brock St

Hours: Continental Rotation - 0800-2000/2000-0800 hours

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Payrate: $22.61/hour

Job Responsibilities:
• Maintain a professional and visible security presence.
• Greet, assist, and direct visitors while protecting clients, buildings, and assets.
• Work independently or as part of a team to conduct interior and exterior patrols.
• Respond to emergencies, provide assistance, and investigate routine incidents.
• Document and report all security-related events.
• Perform patient watches and enforce parking, smoking, and hospital policies.
• Manage access control, keys, and complete monthly safety inspections.
Job Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C Certificate (from a WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccine (minimum double vaccination)
• A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, Pertussis and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

• Immunization Form: KHSC Immunization Forms
• Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis are required at the time of hire.
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (during onboarding)
• 6+ months of non-healthcare security experience preferred, 6+ months healthcare security experience preferred
• Ability to commit to full-time availability for at least 6 months
• Fluency in English (Oral/Written)
• Bilingualism (English/French) an asset
• 6+ months of customer service experience an asset
• Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
•
• Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's Stay Safe certification program prior to their onboarding certification to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
• Please be aware: The Stay Safe certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all the costs of the certification with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

Certification Requirements (All)

First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
