• Establish and nurture trusted advisor relationships with key financial services clients, focusing on comprehensive business relationships across front office, operations, risk and technology functions.
• Client focus centered on Financial Markets participants such as: Wholesale Capital Markets, Corporate Cash Management, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Treasury Trading, Commodities Trading, and Digital Assets.
• Conducting and managing market research and quantitative and qualitative analyses, including the synthesis of complex data into meaningful insights
• Supporting delivery from project scoping to conclusion, while consistently keeping the client's goals in mind
• Communicating complex information effectively in written and verbal formats to various situations and audiences
• Approaching new projects with an open mind
• Demonstrating empathy for coworkers and customers

• Understanding of capital markets industry, global trading and capital markets products (bonds, equities, derivatives, etc )
• Hands on exposure to capital markets functions and administration of financial services businesses including sales and trading, risk management (credit, market, and operational), compliance, funding and trading operations, including confirmation, settlement, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and exception processing
• Functional knowledge of trading infrastructure and trading flows
• Comprehensive knowledge of trade life cycles and position management
• Well versed in Capital Market regulations (conduct, trading, clearing, margin, KYC, privacy, trade and transaction reporting), regulators (OSFI, CIRO , CFTC, SEC, FCA, etc.), as well as, upcoming changes as part of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) work program and broader portfolio of work (ESG, rate reform, digital assets , culture)
• Familiar with global trading and market infrastructures (execution venues, clearing houses, central settlement systems, etc )
• Interest in emerging technologies and advanced analytics related to capital markets and asset management
• Familiarity with technology concepts including architecture ( e.g. business, technical, logical, data), data strategy, governance and management, systems/applications ( e.g. trade booking, investment book of record, collateral management, risk management)
• Working knowledge of common capital markets reference data types (entity, counterparty, product, trade, settlement, etc.) and systems interactions including IT tools and technology
• Self motivated with a passion for client work and team work
• Ability to multitask and manage ambiguity as you navigate change with the client
• Excellent communication skills

The salary range for this position is $112,400 - $162,400. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres . Given our national recruiting approach, ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements .
