Working in this area, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with overall business objectives to increase utilisation of technology resources, driving competitive advantage.As an experienced AWS Developer with 5-7 years of hands-on experience to architect, deploy, and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native solutions. This role drives DevOps best practices, building robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), automating infrastructure with CloudFormation and Terraform, and expertly supporting containerized workloads on ECS, EKS, and Docker. The ideal candidate will implement comprehensive security (IAM, GuardDuty), monitoring (CloudWatch), and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA) across all environments, ensuring operational efficiency, and collaborating across teams to foster continuous improvement and cloud innovation.
Meaningful work you'll be a part of
As an AWS Developer, you will be responsible for owning and continuously enhancing an internal developer portal built on a SaaS foundation. This portal serves as the central hub for engineering teams, integrating public APIs, webhooks, and custom UI/UX components designed with jQuery and modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver a seamless developer experience. You will also architect and maintain Python-based microservices leveraging frameworks such as FastAPI , Django, and Flask, building both RESTful and asynchronous APIs, and managing scalable and reliable data across relational and NoSQL databases.
• On the infrastructure side, you will design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure using best practices for performance and reliability. You will deploy and operate services on AWS, expertly supporting containerized workloads using ECS, EKS, and Docker. A key part of your role involves building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, automating provisioning and configuration using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and serverless workflows, and implementing automated testing workflows, enabling rapid, secure, and consistent delivery. You will also validate service activation flows for core AWS services like EC2 instances, RDS databases, AWS Secrets Manager, and various application deployment platforms (e.g., Elastic Beanstalk, ECS/EKS).
• Security and reliability are core to the role. You will manage IAM roles, policies, and access controls to ensure secure environments, implement enterprise-grade authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, OpenID, SSO), enforce high availability and compliance baselines. Furthermore, you will conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents using GuardDuty and Security Hub, and ensure compliance with standards like SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO. You will monitor system health with CloudWatch and implement auto-remediation strategies and troubleshoot complex production issues to maintain optimal performance.
• Beyond technical delivery, you will play a leadership role: conducting architecture and code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, maintaining infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and automation scripts, and collaborating across product and platform teams to align on best practices, drive DevOps culture, and cloud-native adoption. You will stay current with AWS innovations and continuously improve operational efficiency. Candidates with contributions to open - source projects, technical blogs, or experience with platforms like Backstage or Temporal.io will be highly valued, as these demonstrate thought leadership and community engagement.
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Design, deploy, and manage highly scalable, fault-tolerant AWS infrastructure, driving automation through IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform, serverless workflows) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and providing expert support for containerized workloads (ECS, EKS, Docker).
• Implement comprehensive security (IAM, GuardDuty , Security Hub), monitoring (CloudWatch with auto-remediation), and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO) across all AWS environments, ensuring operational stability and reliability.
• Validate service activation flows, maintain essential documentation and runbooks, and actively collaborate across teams to foster a strong DevOps culture, drive cloud-native adoption, and continuously improve operational efficiency through AWS innovations.
• Deep understanding of AWS data lake storage optimization (leveraging Amazon S3), including efficient file format selection (e.g., Parquet, ORC, or Delta Lake), partitioning strategies, and S3 Lifecycle Management for cost and performance.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex, ambiguous data problems in a production environment, including performance tuning and root cause analysis.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing scalable AWS infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation using tools like GitHub Actions.
• Deep knowledge of containerization technologies, including Docker, Amazon ECS, and Amazon EKS.
• Expertise in AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty , Security Hub) and implement robust access controls.
• Hands-on experience with AWS monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch).
• Familiarity with compliance standards (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
