The Opportunity:

You'll join our Mining Industrial Hygiene team in Sudbury, where you'll play a key role in supporting Industrial Hygiene (IH) and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) projects for clients across Northern Ontario and beyond. Your work will take you from the field to the office-planning assessments, conducting site visits, and collaborating with passionate professionals who are committed to making workplaces safer and healthier. What can you expect to do here:
  • Lead and participate in industrial hygiene field assignments: IH monitoring, noise assessments, hazardous materials surveys, indoor air quality assessments, chemical inventory, ergonomics, and job hazard assessments.
  • Assist senior staff with EHS audits and program development.
  • Collect, document, and analyze field data using the latest tools and technology.
  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports and visualizations for clients and project teams.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Travel to client sites (up to 50% of your time), with trips ranging from 1 to 10 days.
  • Uphold WSP's Code of Conduct and contribute to a safe, ethical, and inclusive workplace.

What you'll bring to WSP:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial hygiene or a related field.
  • Proficiency with IH sampling techniques and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian and provincial occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing schedules and environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work at industrial and mine sites, including rough terrain and facilities with limited accessibility.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive to sites year-round.
  • Motivation to learn, grow, and make a difference in workplace health and safety.
