Overview
Wealth Planning Advisor- Wealth Planning Tools, Practice Management & Support, provides subject matter expertise in supporting Wealth Planning for internal users of BMO's financial planning platform. Supports wealth professionals and acts as a centre of expertise in using planning tools to build client relationships through Financial planning. The role supports the execution of strategic initiatives by translating business and planning requirements into actionable insights, recommendations, and system enhancements. Operating with a high degree of independence, the Manager exercises sound judgment to solve complex, non-routine issues and collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive quality, stability, and usability of the firm's Financial planning software across environments.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

Key Accountabilities
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Works closely with Wealth Planning Team and HNW Wealth Planning consultants to coordinate workflow, identify efficiencies and issues, and to refer clients.
- Supports users with the effective use of financial planning tools, provides guidance and responds to inquiries.

- Participates in the design, implementation and management of core business/group processes.
- Identifies business needs, designs/develops tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
- Supports users in the effective use of financial planning tools, provides guidance and responds to inquiries.
- Conducts user acceptance testing for financial planning tools and identifies issues/limitations and requirements for future releases.
- Assists in the delivery of financial planning training sessions for users.
- Maintains awareness of legislative and industry changes that may affect financial planning.
- Develops financial planning tools and maintains document library for use with clients.
- Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support with focus on BMO Wealth Path
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly manages non-routine situations.

- Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role, in line with our Risk Culture and within our approved Risk Appetite, making sound and risk informed decisions that align to business strategy, protect assets, and adhere to applicable policy documents (Frameworks, Policies, Standards, Procedures and Supporting documents), laws and regulations.
- Provide overall ownership and ongoing management of WealthPath (Voyant), including system performance, quality, and user experience.
- Manage the vendor relationship with Voyant, including issue escalation, prioritization, enhancements, and ongoing support.
- Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist resource to senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Break down complex strategic and technical problems to provide data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain professional practices and guidance to enable planners and frontline teams to effectively use the planning software.
- Build strong relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and ongoing operations.
- Keeps stakeholders informed of messages, recommendations, decisions, process and progress in relation to tool management.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- 7+ years of financial planning experience gained through client-facing or technical/advisory roles, with strong investment industry knowledge, and post-secondary degree in related fields of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced understanding of financial planning concepts and the ability to model scenarios in planning software.
- Professional Planning designation: PFP®, QAFP®, CFP™, or IQPF® (Quebec)
- Strong technical knowledge of WealthPath (Voyant) or equivalent financial planning software.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Strong collaboration and influence skills across business, technology, and vendor teams.
- Good Project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
- Purposeful, strategic, and forward-thinking mindset.
