Who we are looking for:

Rogerstogether withComwaveis looking for a highly motivated full-timeVoice and VideoOperationsII in our Service Operations team.

This Voice and VideoOperationsroleis responsible forthe operation and maintenance of our Voice and IPTV Services supporting both internal and external customers.Comwaveprovidesa great learning opportunity working with a wide variety of system and network infrastructure services. It is expected thatthe Voiceand VideoOperations IIhasa sufficient level of knowledge and experience in Voice and Video Service Provider Environment.Comwavewill provide training on technologies asrequired.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Operates Voiceand IPTVnetworking environment byimplementingconfiguration;executinginstallation; enforcing system standards.EnvironmentconsistsofVoiceCore andEdge,SS7 and TDM Network, IPTV Content (Aggregation & Delivery) Network, Headend and Middleware which includes Core Network, Access Network, Distribution Network and Viewing Devices.
  • Provide Level 2 Support to allFront-lineteams, Network Operations Centre, Business & Residential Technical Support for allComwaveservices. This will encompassvery complexsingle user cases as well as network-wide related cases relating to Voice and IPTV services.
  • Updates job knowledge byparticipatingin educational opportunities; reading professional publications;maintainingpersonal networks; participatingin professional organizations.
  • Share a24/7weeklyon-call rotation with Network Administrators(1 week on,5weeks off).
  • Share a weekly planned overnight maintenance duty with Network Administrators(1 week on,5weeks off).
  • Work closely with theSystem, Voice, IPTV andNetworkEngineering teams on service delivery projects in functions including (but not limited to) system deployment, configuration, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Work closely with commercial vendorsand carriers for escalating service,applicationand configurationrelated issues/questions.
  • Provide ongoing trainingdocumentationand hands-on guidancefor alert handling procedures to Network Operations teams.
  • Assistin the provisioning of complex services for Wholesale/Business clients.
  • Responsible for providing root cause analysis for all network-wide events that affectIPTV and Voiceservice uptime.
  • Responsible for escalating design level related issues with encouraged solutions toengineeringteams to better the overall delivery of services to customers.
  • Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

What You Bring:
  • Experience working withVoiceproducts in a large enterprise or service provider environment.Such equipment could include:Metaswitch,Broadsoft,Ribbon/Genband,OracleAcme Packet, AudioCodes, Sonus, Cisco,and more.
  • Experience working with IPTV products in a large enterprise or service provider environment.Such equipment couldinclude:IPTV Head-ends, Set-top-boxes, DRM, CDN, and more.
  • Knowledge Video and Audio delivery technologies such as HLS or DASH. Should be able to troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to IPTV services.
  • Working knowledgeof diagnosingIPTV and Multicastrelated issuesusing tools such as Wireshark/Tshark,Netflow, IPTV Monitoring systems,etc.
  • Experience working with Network Monitoringsystemsto diagnose incidents or chronic problems.
  • Working knowledge/abilityof diagnosing network related issuesusingtools such as Wireshark/Tshark.
  • Working knowledge inVoIP/Voiceprotocols includingSIP, SS7, SIGTRAN,Megaco, RTP, etc.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Teams and Office 365 environment and MS Teams Direct Routing.
  • Working experience with Cisco Web Ex forBroadworksandWeb ExControl Hub.
  • Working experience with optical equipment and lighting darkfiberan asset.
  • Understanding the networking requirements as they pertain to VoIP/Video andHomeInternet users.
  • Able to work ina very fastpaced environment and provide significant contributions both individually and as part of a greater team.
  • Able to learn and adapt to new services, systems, and technologies in anever-growingtechnical infrastructure.
  • Certified in Voice/IPTVdomain;or equivalent experiencepreferred.
