Join WSP's Transaction & Investment Advisory team and play a key role in supporting strategic transactions that shape infrastructure, energy, and community development projects across Canada. In this role, you will contribute to high - impact investment decisions by providing financial, commercial, and strategic analysis that informs our clients and internal stakeholders.

Your Impact

  • Lead transaction and investment advisory engagements across the full deal lifecycle, providing strategic direction from opportunity identification and screening through execution and post-transaction evaluation. early screening to execution and post - transaction analysis
  • Drive and oversee financial models, investment cases, and valuation scenarios to support sound, data-driven decision - making
  • Direct multidisciplinary due diligence processes, coordinating financial, commercial, technical, operational, environmental, ESG, and risk assessments to identify value drivers and key transaction considerations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and senior stakeholders by preparing and delivering executive-level investment recommendations, strategic insights, and decision-support materials
  • Provide thought leadership on market trends, sector dynamics, investment themes, and comparable transactions to inform client strategies and business growth initiatives
  • Lead client relationship development and business development activities, contributing to strategic pursuits, key proposals, and the expansion of transaction and investment advisory services
  • Drive the continuous enhancement of advisory methodologies, analytical tools, and transaction frameworks to improve quality, consistency, and delivery excellence across engagements.
  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts across engineering, advisory, finance, and infrastructure sectors to align technical and financial perspectives and deliver integrated client solutions.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical excellence, professional growth, knowledge sharing, and a high-performing collaborative culture.




The Skills That Set You Apart

  • University degree in finance, economics, business administration, engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in transactions, corporate finance, investment analysis, or consulting/advisory
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, technical due-diligence, valuation, and investment analysis and background with management consulting firms is preferred
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and serving as a senior client advisor on complex transactions, providing strategic direction, governance oversight, and executive-level recommendations
  • Proven experience in M&A, public - private partnerships (P3), infrastructure investment, or large capital projects
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights and recommendations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior audiences
  • A collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to lead in fast - paced, multidisciplinary environments

Compensation

Compensation:

  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $177,000 - $234,400
  • MB & ON: $161,500 - $222,300
  • NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $159,900 - $212,300
