Hays Canada is currently recruiting for a Training Manager to cover a 13 month maternity leave contract starting in May. There is a possibility that the role may lead to a permanent position in North America. This is an instrumental role to the Canadian business as you will not only be responsible for the training and development of high calibre, market leading talent; you will also be seen as an influential member of the leadership team, further positioning Hays as the employer of choice in the Canadian recruitment industry. This position will be based out of our head office in Toronto, a city consistently ranked as one of the best cities to live in in the world. Reporting directly to the Managing Director for Canada, you will be expected to see big-picture trends in results/skill levels and respond strategically to them in a way that drives behavioural change; be a highly adept communicator in written and spoken English and be a hands on and dynamic trainer who is determined to get results. As the owner of the training function, the Training Manager will be responsible for designing, writing and determining training strategy for new initiatives with the goal of continually improving our service delivery at all levels. The role is responsible for delivering operational training to all levels of the business from Associate Recruitment Consultant to Senior Manager. You will lead and design training through a variety of platforms: one on one coaching, leading group training, managing and developing on-line training courses and management on desk side best practice guides. You must be passionate about teaching best practices and helping to develop skills within others. You will be an outgoing, dynamic presenter and facilitator and must be comfortable speaking in front of groups of people.
