Test Lead - Oracle Fusion Implementation

Location: Calgary - 4 days a week in office
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 1 year contract

Job Summary:
For our client, we are seeking a Test Lead professional in Calgary, Alberta. The Test Lead will be responsible for leading the testing project to ensure the successful testing and quality assurance of Allegro software implementation upgrade. This role involves developing and implementing testing strategies, managing test execution, and ensuring the delivery of the project upgrade.

Key Responsibilities:
    Develop Testing Strategies: Create comprehensive testing plans and strategies to ensure thorough test coverage and efficient testing processes following the TCoE processes.
    Test Creation: Based on the existing test suite you will have to modify existing or create new test cases to ensure the entire application is cover as well as develop a solid Regression test suite.
    Test Execution and Defect Management: Manage the execution of test cases, track defects, and ensure timely resolution.
    Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
    Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in testing and quality assurance.
    Reporting: Generate and present test reports, metrics, and performance results to stakeholders.
    • Deep understanding of Allegro's architecture, modules (trade capture, scheduling, settlement, risk, invoicing/accounting processes), and configuration.
    • Experience with version upgrades, including regression testing core Allegro functionality and class events customizations.
    • Experience in reconciling trade, position, and risk data between legacy and upgraded environments for NGL's, Crude and gas business.
      • Ability to lead end to end trade modelling test strategies i.e. Pre and post upgrade.

    • Experience with ETRM system performance testing
Required Qualifications:
    Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience in software testing.
    Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
    Technical Skills: Proficiency in Allegro ERTM, Altrium Designer, OrCAD PBC, Dip Trace or Proteus PCB. Also, strong experience with test management tools (Azure Dev Ops or similar).
    Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
    DevOps Experience: Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
    Advanced Testing Techniques: Knowledge of advanced testing methodologies and techniques.
This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of Allegro software, and it requires a combination of technical expertise and leadership skills
