The Technology Specialist manages the technical side of the PrescribeIT deployment for TELUS Health in Eastern Canada. This person will be highly engaged with external and internal teams and customers throughout the process of the technical deployment to ensure successful activation of the service. Working closely with Project Managers for PrescribeIT, the key tasks will include: some project management, deployment and installation, training, plus providing technical guidance to internal teams and customers to support the business targets for 2018 and beyond.

This is a crucial role within the organization as we continue to evolve services to improve communication across the health continuum in Canada in the EMR Health market.

You will work within the Eastern Canada Professional Services Engineer (PSE) team.

In this role, as a key member of our TELUS Health team, you will be responsible for the technical component of implementations and existing customer work of our TELUS Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.

Here's how

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for:
    •Driving PrescribeIT projects - including assisting Project Manager's with the technical components of the testing and activation phases of PrescribeIT for each provider •Supporting Professional Services Engineer Team with regular tasks for new Implementations and Existing Customer teams in Eastern Canada •Assisting with the development and documentation of processes •Providing technical guidance for internal/external teams and customers •Ensure successful activation and "Go Live" services for EMR Providers •Provide Privacy and Security direction and guidance to EMR providers to facilitate successful deployment of the PrescribeIT services •Configure software (PS Suite Software and Med Access) in readiness for PrescribeIT services, through testing and go-live •Support the processing of the planned deployment of the clinic/provider queue within the business year •Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues/resolving conflicts •Proficiency in product knowledge, standard work instructions and procedures •Updating projects and cases in Salesforce for work in progress •EMR components setup - including several add on services and RSA tokens •Configure servers and preform server migrations •Remotely supervise and support Field Service Partners during on sites with technical assistance and ensuring successful •Traveling onsite to client sites (if required) •Weekend and evening work will be common

    •Strong communication, listening, organizational and multitasking skills •Proven customer service skills •Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills •Ability to work independently with in a team environment, work under pressure, and prioritize requests/workload is essential •Ability to work in a fast paced and target driven environment •Quick learner, self-starter and accountable is essential •Strong OS background on Windows Server/desktop, Mac, and Win/Mac related software and processes •Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in IT, project managing discipline or related EMR Implementation delivery

    •Knowledge of BOMGAR and Sales Force is an asset •Previous EMR experience is an asset •Hardware and Software certifications
