As a Technology Specialist, you will work on highly visible applications and ensure that the infrastructure under our management is stable, reliable and flexible. Your ability to see all the critical parts and the big picture, passion for learning and leveraging emerging technologies and collaborative approach will support our commitment to a culture of Customer First. •Asses and provide solutions for customer impacting problems within the middle-tier application infrastructure
•Monitor, support and troubleshoot problems for production systems
•Conduct root cause analysis of application incidents and implement recommendations to improve or correct the situation (focusing on permanent solutions)
•Communicate known application problems to Service Desk, the User community, tier 3 teams and vendors
•Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to paged-out issues within 15 minutes
•Providing high systems availability which leads to customer satisfaction
•Lead and deliver projects to meet customer expectations
•Flexibility to work additional hours outside of regular business hours including weekends and holidaysQualifications:You're the missing piece of the puzzle

•Strong problem solving and analytical skills (ability to find creative solutions to end-users' problems)
•Demonstrated initiative and self-directed, and able to adapt readily to fast paced environment
•Familiar with project methodologies and project life cycle, change management, and release management
•Able to manage multiple deliverables to meet deadlines and goals in fast-paced, ever-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
•Strong written and verbal communication skills (in both technical and non-technical environments)
•Able to facilitate meetings and negotiate deliverables and timelines for incident resolutions
•Passion for learning new skills and technologies quicklyPost-secondary education in Computer Science or related discipline
•Noted for your proficiency with Customer Management, Change Management, Java development, Database connectivity, UNIX and File Management, and WebLogic
•Sought out for your knowledge of virtualized server platform implementations (ESX, Vsphere, VMware)
•3 or more years of work experience in application support or technical software development
•Experience working in a UNIX and Oracle environments, Unix Shell Script Programming/PERL, Oracle SQL, Java Exception analysis and troubleshooting, etc
