Rogers is seeking a Technical Specialist to join the National Operational Execution & Wireless Support Team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operational Standards, this pivotal role will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical documentation related to equipment configurations and operational procedures. The Technical Specialist will also provide training and guidance based on these materials to both internal and external teams supporting Rogers Field Operations.

What you'll do:
  • Collaborate in a team environment to develop network operational standards.
  • Perform technical writing of documentation related to equipment configurations and operational procedures.
  • Deliver training to support document rollout to ensure effective adoption and understanding across teams.
  • Work with equipment engineering teams and vendors to lab test and build configuration guides for new network equipment.
  • Liaison with Ericsson support teams to identify issues with production environment devices and apply changes to these configuration guides to address where required.
  • Participate the preventive maintenance workgroup and manage wireless preventive maintance routines
  • Providing training to Rogers internal teams on network equipment.
  • Provide technical information on equipment configurations in the existing production environment to internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting external installation contractor's implementation of configuration guides.
  • Administer and maintain SharePoint technical document libraries.
  • Participate in Microsoft Teams ensuring consistent updates with newly released policies and standards.
  • The scope of the role may expand or adapt to meet future demands.
What you bring:
  • Minimum 5 years of technical wireless telecommunications field experience.
  • Diploma in electronics technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Expert level technical writing skills.
  • Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Certifications or demonstrated aptitude in delivering technical content to adult learners.
  • Proven problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to travel and work at various sites as required.
  • Detail oriented with an aptitude for innovation and exploration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Process development and documentation skills essential.
  • Strong understanding of Rogers wireless equipment configurations and policies.
  • Commitment to quality, performance, and teamwork.
