Lead the future of archaeology and cultural heritage management in Ontario. This is an opportunity to guide a high-performing team, influence project delivery at a strategic level, and help shape the continued growth of WSP's Archaeology practice.

Working closely with senior business and technical leaders, you will foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, technical excellence, and belonging while supporting meaningful projects that contribute to responsible development and community outcomes. As Archaeology Lead, you will play a key role in developing people, strengthening client relationships, driving business performance, and delivering high-quality archaeological services across Ontario.

Your Impact
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of archaeology professionals, fostering collaboration, engagement, and technical excellence.
  • Drive the growth and development of the Archaeology Team in partnership with senior leaders and technical experts.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development, proposal preparation, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality archaeological projects, ensuring excellence in field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables.
  • Coordinate team workloads and resources to support efficient project execution and operational success.
  • Champion recruitment, succession planning, mentoring, and performance development initiatives across the team.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure safety remains a priority throughout project delivery.
  • Support key business objectives, performance indicators, budgeting, and planning activities while contributing to the continued success of the Earth & Environment business.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Demonstrated experience leading archaeology teams, programs, or complex projects within consulting, government, or related environments.
  • Strong knowledge of archaeological field methods, reporting standards, and cultural resource management practices.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, prepare proposals, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Experience developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of building strong internal and external relationships.
  • Sound business acumen and the ability to align technical delivery with operational and financial objectives.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to support projects, clients, and business needs.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $110,600 - $146,500
MB & ON: $100,900 - $139,000
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $99,900 - $132,700
