What you will do

  • An o pportunity to lead small, medium and large sized client engagements
  • Reviewing work for junior staff to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staf f
  • As a key member of our team you will have considerable opportunities to interact with our clients directly and form part of their extended team as you work closely with them
  • Engagement planning , organizing teams to deliver on investment fund tax engagement mandates which span the investment fund's tax life cycle: tax planning, tax accounting, tax compliance and tax controversy
  • L earn and participate in engagements that include tax planning and controversy managemen t
  • Opportunities to work on engagements that cover US, I nternational and I ndirect Tax

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum of 4 years tax experience, ideally from a public accounting firm
  • Enrolled in In-Depth Part I, II or III
  • People management experience is an asset
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to research utilizing electronic tax tools.
  • Provide others with opportunities to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities.
  • Train and mentor junior staff
  • Ability to i mplements processes and procedures to help create efficiencies
  • Ability to identify and resolve challenges while keeping in mind practicalities and costs.
  • Negotiates effectively by identifying common ground and potential solutions that are beneficial to all partie s
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the clients' businesses
