Our data integration team is providing leading edge data services to provide the tools and information necessary to provide the best possible care to patients within the Canadian healthcare system

This role requires a QA analyst focused end to end testing of data integration projects. The successful candidate will be able to plan and execute end to end testing programs to ensure accuracy and compliance to specification and will have strong collaboration skills in order to work with internal and external parties.

Here's how

As part of the team, you'll be responsible for:
    •Perform a wide variety of black-box validation tests such as end to end testing, functional, regression, performance and integration testing •Create, maintain and execute test plans, test cases and test scripts •Translate functional and technical requirements into test scenarios •Test and prioritize items according to value for end users •Perform analysis to ensure that standards and end-user requirements are met •Identify and report usability issues and functional deficiencies •Assist in implementation of QA standards and process improvements •Compose release notes that effectively communicate the content of each release


You're the missing piece of the puzzle

Required Knowledge and Experience:
    •3+ years of experience in quality assurance and software testing •Strong knowledge of JIRA (issue tracking) and Zephyr (test case management) systems (or other testing and defect tracking systems) •Strong knowledge of software test planning and execution •Good understanding of data integration and ETL projects and the software development life cycle •Good understanding of data specifications such as HL7, FHIR and XML

Required Skills & Abilities:
    •Excellent problem-solving, analytical and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize •Ability to work independently in a high stress environment while meeting deadlines •Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
    •Diploma or BA in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or commensurate experience •Software Testing Certification by a recognized body, e.g., ISTQB, is a plus

    •Good understanding of medical data would be an asset •Experience testing healthcare-related applications is a plus
