Casino Ajax and Pickering Casino Resort are seeking dynamic individuals with a drive to succeed, strong guest relations and energetic; responsibilities of this role will align with the position of Surveillance Supervisor at Pickering Casino Resort. All candidates must be ready and willing to work. Successful candidates may be scheduled to work at both our Pickering Casino Resort and/or Ajax Casino locations.
Upon opening and under the general direction of the Under the general direction of the Surveillance Manager, this position is responsible for the supervision of surveillance employees in a shift work environment, fostering a safe and efficient work environment while maintaining an open-door policy. You will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Above all else, management must lead by example to create Great Experiences and Memories for all guests and colleagues!The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company's vision, mission and values:
•Maintain awareness of the gaming operation at all times. Plan, organize and direct the overall operation the shift by delegating duties, briefing/monitoring of employees, and overseeing occurrences as they develop. •Accountable for staff, assisting with hiring, training, evaluations, recognition and development •Balancing multiple responsibilities in operational demands and employee engagement. •Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations. •Ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures. •Comply with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and all applicable laws, policies and procedures •Perform other duties as assigned by management. Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
•A post-secondary education or comparable working experience in related fields with strength in gaming/surveillance areas •Supervisory experience in the related field of one (1) or more years •Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills •Working knowledge of computer software packages •A proficient knowledge of Internal Control Manual and AGCO Departmental Manual •The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
•Previous experience preferably in the casino industry; gaming knowledge and game protection an asset. Pickering Casino Resort candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
