You'll join our Ottawa Buildings team as a Structural Engineering Student, where you'll collaborate with passionate engineers and designers to shape the future of our built environment. What you can expect to do here:
• Work alongside Professional Engineers and Designers to design, model, and coordinate structural systems using industry-leading software and tools.
• Participate in quantity estimates and construction review, including site visits to see your work in action.
• Review shop drawings and change orders during construction and produce site visit reports.
• Take part in regular design meetings with your team, clients, and on construction sites.
• Contribute to real project delivery and learn the ins and outs of engineering consulting.
What you'll bring to WSP:
• You're a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year student in civil or structural engineering, civil engineering technology, or architectural/building sciences technology.
• You're curious about engineering consulting and eager to support engineers in day-to-day project delivery.
• You have a genuine interest in the construction and buildings sector, and you're excited about site review.
• You take initiative, pay attention to detail, and communicate clearly.
• You have a valid driver's licence.
• Working at heights training is a plus.
