Reporting to the Vice President - 5G Spectrum & Wireless Networks, you will be Technology Strategy's IoT/M2M technical leader. This is an opportunity to showcase your innovative, strategic and leadership strengths not only within your team but also across vast business teams such as product marketing, sales, customer experience, operations and more.

Here's how
    •Be responsible for technical architecture, design, development, requirements, and execution of TELUS' IoT/M2M solutions •Act as Technology Strategy's IoT/M2M technical leader and liaison with the other business units to collaboratively drive the technical strategy of TELUS •Identify opportunities to do proof of concepts with application enablement platforms and with open industry frameworks •Evaluate and perform due diligence of external original equipment manufacturer (OEM) vendors and solution providers, and provide them with TELUS specific requirements as part of design solution •Identify potential strategic partnerships: Selection and technical due diligence as part of solution development •Drive multiple technical teams within the Technology Strategy organization to execute on IoT programs by aligning customer requirements, roadmap, costs, and provide overall IoT program execution oversight by leading cross-functional teams - Product Marketing, Sales, Operations, Network Planning & Customer Support


Qualifications:


You're the missing piece of the puzzle
    •10+ years of people management experience in wireless communication, enterprise software applications, and/or in related high-tech industries •5+ years of IoT & M2M specific industry experience including some experience at the senior strategic level with strong understanding of complete IoT value chain - OEM device and related eco-systems; connectivity related network architecture and platforms; service and application related eco-system and platforms; and vertical application related system integrators •Valued for your knowledge of emerging IoT technologies and related business models for mobile operators - LPWA, 5G/V2X, eSIM with multi-subscription management, IoT related standards (i.e. OneM2M, 3GPP, GSMA, 5GAA, TMForum, etc), IoT Device DevKits, Device Management, and IoT Analytics •Respected for your understanding of IoT/M2M vertical requirements both at the product and technical levels: Connected Car, Aftermarket, Fleet Management, Home Security, Industrial IoT, Building Automation, Asset Monitoring and Tracking, and Consumer - IoT •Commended for your track record of:
      •Building relationships with senior leaders and teams which may have varying/competing priorities •Influencing without direct authority particularly across a matrix organization •Bringing forth a common sense approach and driving decisions in the right direction - convey strategic vision •Leading virtual/matrix teams
    •Confident at engaging, collaborating with, and delivering presentations to senior/executive leaders •Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
