The Specialist, Local Pro plays a critical role in the execution of all Local Pro programs and processes. Local Pro is a service that connects our Do-It-For-Me customers with Local Pros in their area.

The Local Pro Specialist position will work closely with internal and external teams to drive Pro & customer engagement and program growth. It will feel like a start-up!

Data setup and management: 50%
  • Create new service/occupation articles.
  • Maintain the relationships between Connect me to a Local Pro and Local Pro to Transact articles.
  • Ensure that the services are mapped against the appropriate product articles.
  • Disable ineligible services, to ensure that the customer experience is fluid.
  • Schedule regular connects with Online Merchants to ensure optimum result from CTLP/LPT.
  • Monitor Local Pro to Transact prices and override if the pricing looks incorrect.

  • System Administration and communication: 30%
  • Moderate the system and ensure that flagged activities are monitored and actioned.
  • Validate the GST/PST numbers are being entered by the Pros.
  • Drive context and excitement about the program.
  • Responsible for creating weekly and monthly newsletters to deliver upcoming initiatives and updates to both Pros and Associates.

  • Pros & Customer Engagement: 20%
  • Support Pro onboarding for Pilot programs.
  • Reach out to eligible Pros and educate them about features of the program.
  • Help Pros onboard on to the program and help them with compliance.
  • Obtain feedback from Pros/customers and provide recommendations.
  • Connect with insights and/or UX team to improve app and Pro onboarding.

  • Experience / Knowledge Required -
  • Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets expectation, consistently demonstrates).
  • Bilingual (English and French) written and oral abilities considered an asset
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail or related environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven record of successful project coordination, problem solving, multi-tasking, ability to operate under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time. Closing Statement
