We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and user friendly CIAM solution. In this role, you will collaborate with product, security and engineering teams to ensure seamless and secure customer experiences across digital platforms, while aligning with regulatory and compliance requirements.
$94,600.00 - $176,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Identity Access Management (CIAM) Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and user friendly CIAM solution. In this role, you will collaborate with product, security and engineering teams to ensure seamless and secure customer experiences across digital platforms, while aligning with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Design and develop end-to-end CIAM architectures, including identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, consent management, and data privacy
- Serve as the technical lead for CIAM initiatives, guiding the selection, customization, and integration of ISAM platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. product, UX, security, engineering, enterprise architect) to define user identity journeys and technical requirement
- Create detail architectural documentation, including sequence diagrams, threat models, and data flow diagrams
- Integrate CIAM solution with backend systems, APIs, gateway and analytics tools
- Support CI/CD practices by embedding identity-related security controls in development pipeline
- Evaluate and implement technologies for adaptive authentication, identity proofing, MFA, and federation (SAML, OIDC, oAuth)
- Mentor and support development and engineering teams in implementing identity related features
Qualifications:- BS/BA or MBA/MS in computer science, engineering, information security, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in identity and access management, with at least 2+ years focused on CIAM.
- Proven experience with one or more CIAM platforms: ISAM, Okta, Auth0, ForgeRock, PingOne, Azure AD etc.
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (oAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML 2.0, FAPI)
- Familiarity with identity federation, SSO, MFA, risk-based authentication, and adaptive access
- Hands on experience with RESTful APIs, JWT, JSON, and modern web technologies
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g. GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, PIC-DSS)
- Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or vendor specific certifications
- Familiarity with IAM/CIAM market trends, zero trust architecture, and identity governance
- Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.
