Software Development Manager

Toronto, ON
Full Time
DESCRIPTION We're looking for an experienced, deeply technical software development manager with great people skills to run our picking user interfaces team. This is the software used by our associates in Amazon fulfillment centres worldwide to guide them through the task of picking items to be shipped to customers. If you've ever bought something from Amazon, there's a very good chance our software was directly involved getting it to you.

The successful candidate will manage an existing team of software development engineers and, working with other engineering and operations leaders, but with a high degree of autonomy, design, deliver and operate the next generation of front to back software systems used for picking items from our warehouses. Unlike many other e-retailers, we build all of our own solutions in this space, so this is a software build, as opposed to 3rd party software customization, role.

As well as market leading compensation and benefits, Amazon offers unparalleled career, technical and personal development opportunities. Whether that's through our structured advancement opportunities, our global affinity groups, conferences, our world class mentoring program or giving back to the community through the Amazon Future Engineer program, you will have the support you need to achieve your goals.

Come and help us build the next generation of Amazon's planetary scale fulfillment systems and take your career to new heights at the same time!
