Would you enjoy the challenges of developing complex transactional systems using novel algorithms and concepts? Our teams optimize and prioritize the inventory flows coming into our global fulfillment centers, ensuring that consumer goods are available to order when customers want it. We are looking for additional talent to join us in developing our next generation of systems, work that includes controlling scanners and conveyance systems and scaling our systems to handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent transactions.

The candidate in this role will have an opportunity to own design and development of key services on Amazon's EC2 platform. You will influence system design and implementation to ensure the best user experience for maximum adoption. To meet and connect with our user base, team members have travel opportunities to places such as Marseille, London, Prague, Tokyo, Warsaw, and San Francisco, just to name a few. (We have Fulfillment Centers everywhere!)

A commitment to team work, hustle, and strong communication skills are absolute requirements. Creating reliable, scalable and high performance services and architectures require exceptional technical expertise. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer centric, and feels strongly about building a system that can be operated at world-wide scale with minimal human intervention.

Seeking candidates with a strong sense of ownership and demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features.

Basic Qualifications

    •BS in Computer Science or engineering field
    •3+ years of relevant industry experience
    •Coding skills in Java, on a Unix/Linux platform


Preferred Qualifications

    •MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
    •Strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
    •Ability to work well with people and be both highly self motivated and motivating
    •Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
