Alexa is the Amazon service that powers the groundbreaking Echo family of devices, Fire TV, tablets, third party Alexa providers, and soon, cars! Join the team that enables the Alexa Wake word engine, Alexa Offline Engine, Alexa Auto and many other customers to deliver delightful customer experiences at a very fast pace. As a key member of our engineering team, you will own the backend technology for artifact management and Model delivery in Alexa.You will support clients like SmartHome, Alexa in Car, Alexa Offline and domains like Navigation and Entertainment. You will solve complex problems, and work on difficult challenges in software engineering as the scale and suite of our service grows. You will be responsible for engineering new services and features that will shape how Alexa evolves here at Amazon. You will be part of a new team charged with creating a unique service to empower artifact and model owners to deliver rich Alexa experiences, both online and offline.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• University degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• 1+ years experience as an engineer
• Development experience in Java or any other object-oriented language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
